Case Fatality Rate

Fatility Rate

It is too early for conclusive statements about the overall fatality rate of the novel coronavirus, but the researchers at Lancet offer an overall estimate rate as 1.38 percent.

This rate itself is subject to change; depending on the age of a given population. The older the population, the more its fatality rate grows. The rate can also be expected to vary with the underlying health of specific populations, given that the risks associated with COVID-19 are heavily influenced by the presence of underlying comorbidities.
