Good Personal Hygiene

Basic hygiene measures are as important as obvious they sound. Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. While washing hands for a minimum of 20 seconds with plain water and soap can prevent the spread of viruses.

Simple tasks like handwashing, getting a flu shot, and staying home when you are sick can make a huge difference. Cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow and then washing hands. Keep your hands away from your face.

Clean frequently touched surfaces in your home often, including mobility and medical equipment used by your loved one, such as walkers, canes and handrails.
