Here’s the good news that washing hands even with plain water and soap can kill all the viruses, provided it is done thoroughly and properly. And the perfect way to wash hands is to scrub your hands thoroughly for minimum 20 seconds. It helps killing all the viruses and eventually controls further spread.

Not Touching face anywhere

Based on research & study, the hardest self-protective measure to follow is, to avoid touching the face. A study observed medical students in year 2015, at the University of New South Wales. The results enlightened the fact that each student touched the face minimum 23 times per hour on average. It is highly important to avoid bare hand contact with the face as the germs easily enter the body through eyes, nose and mouth. The tainted hands spread virus easily by rubbing eyes and touching face anywhere specially nose and mouth.

Clean your hands with an alcohol-based handwash or soap and water before putting on a mask. • Cover your mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask. • Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water. • Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do not re-use single-use masks. • To remove the mask: remove it from behind (do not touch the front of mask); discard immediately in a closed bin; clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
